We are now calling on thousands of NYC voters to download our forms (get Multiple Form here) and get at least 3 signatures each week and mail them to the PO Box on page 3. Be sure to read the instructions below first. Also, you can drop them off at the Bowery Poetry Club, (directions here), or Vox Pop in Brooklyn(directions here). The future is ours to create! YOU can be part of the action!

Signers and witnesses must be registered New York City voters. If you're not but would like to gather signatures, you can do so but have someone who is registered fill out the Witness section. (If you would like to register to vote, got to our Register To Vote link on the left where you can download a voter registration form online and mail it in to the Board of Elections).

Instructions for Single Signature

1. Right-click here and choose "Save As" to download the petition form to your computer.

2. Print 2 copies of the petition form. One is for you and the other is for the person witnessing your signature.

3. [Note: Your name and address should be exactly as it is on your voter registration form.] Using blue ink, on page 1 of the first copy sign your name on the top line of the left side, then neatly print your name right below that. Then neatly print your street address with apartment number on the top line to the right, and your borough and zip code below. Lastly print your county on the far right and date on the far left. Then sign on page 2 and 3 in the signature line at the bottom of the page.

4. A witness is required, so have another registered voter witness your petition by filling in their signature under Statement of Witness.*

5. Have your witness fill out a petition following step 3 above, then you sign as their witness.

6. Mail in both petitions to NYC 9/11 Ballot Initiative, 1173A Second Avenue, Suite 155, New York, NY 10065.

7. Please print more copies of the petition and commit to having another 5 people do steps 1-5 and repeat the process to their friends and families.

8. Please act immediately to ensure our chances for success. If you act now, we can get this initiative into the Nov. 6th 2008 general election.
   

Instruction for Multiple Signatures

You can help this urgent cause by gathering multiple petition signatures. Many people are collecting petition signatures from people they know in their neighborhood or workplace. This can easily be done alone. Just say to people:

"We're working on getting 45,000 signatures right away for a public referendum and have over 30,000 signatures now. This would enable NYC voters to create a new, independent, and impartial Commission to investigate the events of 9/11 much more thoroughly than has been done in the past. Will you please help with your signature?"

2. Download and read our instructions which have key details which must be done correctly. Right-click here and choose "Save As" to download it to your computer. This also describes a few easy ways to get people to sign the petition and gives county information.

3. Download our blank form with 3 signature boxes by right-clicking here and choosing "Save As" to download it to your computer. After getting 3 signatures, fill in your signature under Statement of Witness, then either drop the forms off as explained at the top of this page or mail the form to the address on page 3 of the petition.
